General Information
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our guests and we would ask you to take the time to note and observe the following:
Mobile Phones - are restricted to members of the medical profession on call. Please switch your mobile phone off both on the Course and in the Clubhouse. The discreet use of mobile phones inside your car is permitted, and in the car park away from the 1st tee area.
Dress Code - Smart casual is permitted on the Golf Course and in the Clubhouse. This includes denim jeans in the evenings, Fridat to Sunday, in the Clubhouse but not on the Golf Course. Juvenile Members and guests are under 18 years of age are permitted to wear smart denim jeans and trainers at any time in the Clubhouse, but not on the Golf Course. The Caddymasters, Bar and Catering Staff will not provide service to Members or Visitors not complying with this dress code. Please note that members are responsible for their guests.
For further details or what is not acceptable dress wear within this dress code please contact the General Manager or office staff.
Golf Shoes - Must be worn on the Course and are permitted in the locker room areas only. Proper shoes must be worn in the bar and dining areas.
Care of the Course - Please replace divots, repair pitch marks and rake the bunkers.
Slow Play - Players are asked to show courtesy for fellow players by avoiding slow play. Threeballs should complete the course in 3 hours 20 minutes and fourballs should complete the course in 4 hours.
We would point out that the staff has been instructed to ensure these brief regulations are adhered to and we ask for your full co operation in this regard. If you require any clarification or further information please check with the General Manager.
Facilities
Clubhouse - Normal locker room facilities. Full catering and bar facilities, fully stocked proshop.
Course - Pull carts are available free of charge.
Finally, we hope you enjoy your visit to Grange Golf Club.
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL GIFT FROM GRANGE
The Grange once again showed their generosity when they presented David Doran of Crumlin Children's Hospital with a cheque for €57,521. The money was raised by Percy Vince and his team when they ran a golf outing and auction. This was a tremendous achievement in the present economic climate by Percy Vince, and all concerned are to be congratulated.

DRESS CODE
Members, Guests and Visitors are asked to be mindful of Our Dress Code.
Please note that smart casual wear is permitted on the Golf Course and in the Clubhouse.
Our Dress Code, includes
- Denim jeans in the evenings, Friday to Sunday - in the Clubhouse but not on the Course.
- Golf shoes with soft spikes only on the Course.
- Juveniles Members & Guests under 18 years of age are permitted to wear smart denim jeans and trainers at any time in the Clubhouse, but not on the Course.
Our staff have been instructed to draw attention to this notice if Members, Guests and/or Visitors are unsuitably dressed.
Members are responsible for their guests.

Our New Caddymasters
What is not known perhaps, is that they are no mean golfers either. They are both members of the Grange artisans. Shane has only being playing golf for two years, but in 2007 his achievements read like this: The artisans Captain's Prize; the President's Prize; Golfer of the Year; Intermediate Cup. Not to be laft out, Dave partnered Shane to win the Hazellett Cup with a score of 8 up (which is the envy of his fellow artisans) in the IAGA Festival.
Shane started with a handicap of 14 and lost 2 for his efforts. He is now down around 11.

Grange Reach Leinster Quarter Final of Barton Shield
The Grange team of Michael McGinley and David Carroll and Mark Ryan and brother David beat Carton House 9/8 to reach the Leinster quarter final of the Barton Shield. They had beaten Slade Valley in their morning match. The other match played in Grange was won by Greystones who beat Elm Park.
The play offs to reach the final will be played in Delgany sometime towards the end of July.

The Captain''s day Prizewinners
The second day of the Captain's (Rory O'Riordan) Prize threw up some surprising results.
The Captain's Night Barbeque
The Captain's night barbeque was held on Saturday June 7. As expected, there was a full house, and a very enjoyable night was had by all who had Ann Bushnell entertain them. An added bonus was the presence of Paul McGinley, Grange Ryder Cup hero. Paul gave his Ryder Cup replica, won at the K Club, to Captain Rory as a gift to the club.
Ryder Cup Comes to Grange
On Saturday night (June 7) Captain Rory O'Riordan accepted a replica of the Ryder Cup won by the European team in the K Club last year. This generous gift was made to the club by their own Paul McGinley, who has the distinction of holding three of these cups. Paul was on a brief visit home and decided to drop in to wish the captain well on his captain's prize night. Captain Rory thanked Paul for his generosity on behalf of the members and assured him that the trophy would be treasured by all in Grange.

Golfing Greats
Shane presented a slide show of some of Ireland's past golfing greats such as Jimmy Bruen, Joe Car, Noel Fogarty, Arthur Pierse, David Sheahan, Philomena Garvey, Mary McKenna and others. Shane, in conversation with David Sheahan, Noel Fogarty and Arthur Pierse got an amusing account of some of their magic and funny moments in golf. The night was a great success.

End of Season Bridge Party
The final night of the bridge took place on Thursday, 27th March. Some bridge was played but the season was rounded off with a dinner at which the Captains Rory and Rita and the President Fergus attended.
The Captains Drive In
St. Patrick's Day in Grange is a big day for captains of the club. The 2008 captains Rory and Rita were there to give the traditional drive in demonstration. Members turned out in large numbers, in glorious sunshine, to cheer them on and wish them well for the year ahead. All is revealed in the gallery.

What Are Seniors Worth
Remember, old folks are worth a fortune with silver in their hair, gold in their teeth, stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet and gas in their stomachs.
I have become a little older since I saw you last and a few changes have come into my life; frankly I have become a frivolous old gal!
I am seeing six gentlemen every day. As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me out of bed.
Then I go to see Johnny Loo.
Next Charlie Cramp comes along and when he's here he takes up a lot of my attention.
When he leaves Arthur Ritis shows up and stays around all day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long so he takes me from joint to joint.
After such a busy day I'm really tired and glad to go to bed with Johnny Walker.
What a life! Oh yes! I'm also fighting with Al Zymer.
P.S. The minister came to call the other day. He said that I should be thinking about the hereafter. I told him "Oh, I do! All the time. On my way home, in the parlour, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement, I say to myself "Now, what am I here after!
